Hi, I’m CJ (they/them) – a queer, non-binary, and neurodivergent therapist. I bring both personal and professional experience to my work, offering therapy that is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in compassion.
I’ve been a practising therapist for almost 15 years and am accredited with both the BACP and COSRT, as well as being a member of EMDR Association UK and the BPS. Over the last decade, I’ve worked within an NHS Talking Therapies service, where I trained in Person-Centred Experiential Counselling for Depression (PCE-CfD), EMDR, and Psychosexual Therapy.
Before that, I trained in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling and began my career supporting people in drug and alcohol services and through our local Mind charity. I also spent several years working in schools, offering therapy to children and young people, as well as supporting school staff.
I specialise in working with gender, sex, and relationship diversity (GSRD), and I welcome clients from LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent communities. These are areas close to my heart, and I aim to create a space where you can show up fully as yourself, without fear of judgement or having to explain the basics.
At the heart of my approach is a belief in the power of connection, curiosity, and care. For me, therapy is a place to feel heard, understood, and supported in making sense of whatever you’re going through. I aim to create a therapeutic space that is collaborative and tailored to what you need in the moment.
